Dr. Bingunath Ingirige - Principal Investigator


Dr. Bingunath IngirigeDr. Bingu Ingirige is a Chartered Surveyor with experience in construction and property industry and academia. Dr. Ingirige is a Senior Lecturer at the School of the Built EnvironmentThe University of Salford. He is the Director of the QS Discipline Centre responsible for the delivery of Undergraduate and Postgraduate courses in Quantity Surveying and Project Management at the School of the Built Environment. He is also the Programme Leader for the MSc in Quantity Surveying. He is a co-investigator of the EPSRC funded Community Resilience to Extreme Weather (CREW) events project and leads a work package on SME adaptation and coping measures against extreme weather events such as floods, heat waves and storms.



Prof. David Proverbs – Project Director

Prof. David ProverbsDavid Proverbs, Professor of Construction Management, is presently Head of the Construction and Property Department at the University of the West of England, Bristol. He has undertaken numerous research projects, both for industry and the government. More recently his research efforts have focused towards urban flood risk management issues including damage assessment, flood repair and flood resilience. The products of his extensive research activities have been comprehensively disseminated through: over 200 refereed academic journal/conference papers; text books, research seminars and workshops; articles and features in the construction press; and by the publication of numerous reports and working papers.

 

Gayan Wedawatta - Researcher


Gayan WedawattaGayan is a doctoral student attached to the Centre for Disaster Resilience, School of the Built Environment, The University of Salford. He researches on extreme weather resilience of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) as part of the EPSRC funded Community Resilience to Extreme Weather (CREW) project. His research interests include organisational resilience, business continuity management, disaster management, and flood resilience.
